Impact
  • Intended outcomes: The Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University identified the most common factors of children who develop resilience in the face of significant adversity: responsive adult relationships and self-regulation skills. Closegap was built to facilitate both of these using scalable technology. Closegap tracks a number of impact metrics related to both, in addition to the number of suicides prevented and serious issues surfaced by the tool. Learn more here.
  • Demonstrated outcomes: Closegap saves lives by revealing invisible struggles. 80% of staff discovered previously unnoticed students in need, with 20% uncovering severe issues, including suicidal ideation. Beyond crises, the platform identifies upstream issues, with 80% of staff uncovering mild issues and 73% moderate issues among students. After one month, 40% of students who couldn't name a trusted adult could name at least one. 80% of students showed an increase in emotional labeling and regulation.
