We Do It 4 the Culture™

- Intended outcomes: We Do It 4 the Culture™ leverages media, storytelling, and culturally relevant experiences to meet students where they are and build the five CASEL competencies: Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision-Making. Intended outcomes include stronger SEL skills, increased student engagement, greater belonging, improved relationships, and positive school climate.
- Demonstrated outcomes: A recent quasi-experimental study of 25,000 students found that the curriculum acts as a powerful leading indicator for school success, improving the social-emotional outcomes that drive attendance, discipline, and academic performance. In this study, high-fidelity implementation sites saw positive results up to 30% above the average control group. The curriculum also reduced traditional racial equity gaps, providing a more equitable experience for students of color compared to standard programs
Privacy & Safety
- Privacy & security: We Do It 4 the Culture™ does not collect student names, emails, or other personally identifiable information. Student and teacher surveys are anonymous unless an educator voluntarily opts in. Teacher accounts are secured through our platform, and we follow FERPA- and COPPA-aligned data minimization practices.
- Crisis protocols: We Do It 4 the Culture™ is designed as a Tier 1/Tier 2 SEL and student engagement platform, not a mental health or crisis intervention tool. We do not collect identifiable student data or provide automated risk assessments. Schools and districts remain responsible for crisis response and student support protocols. Our implementation model can be adapted to align with existing district policies and support structures. We currently do not use AI for any features.
Data provided to school/district
We conduct a pre– and post-survey for both educators and students designed to support our understanding of student attitudes towards culturally responsive learning, student-student relationships, and student-teacher relationships.
